What's in it?

If you’re looking to explore wheel-thrown pottery, this short course introduces you to the language of the wheel. Learn to center yourself as you center the clay—an exchange built on patience, awareness, and touch. The process is meditative, where balance between maker and material allows form to emerge with quiet grace. What your week looks like: Day 1: Wedging and preparing clay Day 2: Introduction to centering on the wheel Day 3: Practice pulling on the wheel Day 4: Practice pulling and working with measurements Day 5: Introduction to trimming wares we will attempt to create three to five wheel-thrown wares over the duration of this workshop. a 3-day drying break will be observed for biscuit firing. Fees Include: Clay, materials, and tools. Dress for a mess: Be prepared to get dirty during these fun, hands-on session with clay. We recommend wearing clothes that you’re completely comfortable getting messy in. Reservations: No walk-ins allowed. Please reserve in advance as spots are limited. If you’d like to transform your work into a finished, functional ceramic piece, we offer professional firing and glazing services, chargeable at an additional ₹1000 per ware (max adult palm size). Your finished piece will be delivered in approximately 1 to 2 months. This timeline begins once we receive your delivery address, payment confirmation screenshot, and a photo of the specific creation to be processed. This fee does not include the shipping cost. Rescheduling: You can reschedule or cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the session One-Day Workshop: Session can be adjusted within the same week. Artistic Variation: Ceramics is a multi-stage process. Your final fired piece may differ slightly from the raw creation; no two products are identical.
