Village 36
Over 500 pieces,
Luneclay's first restaurant project.
Project
Vescapes & Shaili Sutaria
It began intuitively, as a conversation between material and movement, between food and form.
Built on a terrace, shaped in open air, and guided by trust this project was our first, which unfolded slowly piece by piece.
Village 36 wanted something fast. fresh. fire-hot and playful to reimagine thai street food in india.
Clay in Chorus
Over 500 handmade forms came to life, each one slightly different, each one holding its rhythm.
No strict symmetry no rigid control.
This was shaili’s first restaurant project as an artist and it asked for scale without losing intimacy, for repitition without losing soul.
Fired into Memory
There is space in these pieces. Space for food to land, for hands to move, for moments to happen.
Designed not as objects, but as surfaces that participate, they carry heat, color, spill and texture.
This is village 36 - served.
